My book is about the life journey of a free-spirited and intelligent small-town girl who grows up into an empowered woman through various phases. The first book is about her intriguing and adventurous childhood & adolescence when she romances with her class friend from her engineering college. Latha has grown up in a class-divided and rigid society. But she defies the “love laws” that bound her. She has to fight for her right to choose her lover as they passionately love each other. All hell breaks loose as the family spies inform her father. Her family house arrests her and stops her education.
All exit points are blocked. The first book asks if the persecuted girl will find her way to freedom.
The Book2 is about her insane struggle with society and her criminal father, who is politically powerful. On the one hand, the police are on their trail, and the local goons try to find her hideout with her lover. Life becomes unbearably complex and challenging when Latha fights out her life’s battle to protect her love and independence. Her father takes appalling revenge, and the world of Latha burns to ashes.
Book 3 is about Latha’s story of rising from the ashes and fighting out a bigger challenge legally. It is a harsh world of crime and intrigues. The trajectory of Latha’s life completely changes as she learns, gradually, to survive and discover her happiness. She rediscovers love in a much more excellent way. Would she find joy and redemption from her existential crisis as a woman?
Women continue to be victims in our social setup, which has separate rules for men and women. This feudal psyche is so ingrained into our cultural milieu that it is hard to break away from unless there is social upheaval. So, as an Indian author in English, I would like to voice the internal & external struggles even in the life of educated girls in our society.
But there are women from different corners of our country who take up the cudgel to battle this crime against women & humanity. I imagined Latha to be one of them. I am always intrigued by brave women and so, Latha slowly formed in my mind’s eye for years, growing little by little, taking shape until I decided to write about her when the delta variant of the Pandemic hit India badly. My book is about gender discrimination & crime against women and crimes based on class & caste prejudice. It exposes the core of the society that needs to change.
THEME of Latha’s Story:
A life journey of a phenomenal woman struggling through love, violence, blood & ashes to her freedom. Will Latha ever find Empowerment? Will Crime & insane persecution defeat her life purpose?

Excellent novel. I really love your writing style, it makes me imagine all the characters the way Mandiraji had narrated in her novel. Latha’s character and the events happening in her life one after another keeps you engaged to read further. It is surely an un-put-down-able book. Especially the cliff-hangers are so well written that you will immediately jump on to the another part as soon as you finish reading the one part. I really like the scenes that shows the real struggle of Latha; sadly there are still some places where women had to face these issues regardless of how modernized we believe our society has changed. Her Untamed soul is a very interesting novel and it will be difficult to conclude/forecast the story. It will make feel the happiness of Latha and make you smile whereas, it will also make you feel pain when Latha experiences one and make you glued to the book until you completely read it. Latha’s transformation is extremely wonderful and I hope this inspires many lives. Will eagerly wait for another novel from Mandiraji.

It’s the 2nd fictional attempt by the author on the theme of social & personal injustices against woman in the regressive society of the 21st C. of India. This time the author’s canvas is far wide & deep. Her rendition is grim in realism, evocative in language. Undoubtedly the work stands as a social document & a page-turner in its execution.
